That said, you want enough flex in the sole so you can comfortably adjust to any lie. The PROADAPT outsole is lightweight and sturdy to give you a confident foundation during your swing. It really starts with the PROADAPT outsole (the hard plastic on the bottom of the shoe). There’s also a lot of stability in the IGNITE PROADAPT shoe. I simply went home and easily scrubbed the mud and dirt away while cleaning my shoes.
I somewhat expected the softer materials of the Adaptive Fit System to have issues in regards to dirt/mud absorption but was pleasantly proven wrong following a muddy Spring round. Your feet are well taken care of with plenty of breathability and waterproofing. Much of the Puma IGNITE PROADAPT’s quality performance is due to the excellent comfort previously mentioned. Gone are the days of that nasty Achilles blister! The IGNITE PROADAPT is easily one of the easiest all-day wears I’ve ever experienced in a golf shoe.
This system also integrates soft molded padding at your ankle and Achilles which you can see in the picture above. The Adaptive Fit System is a softer bootie integrated into the shoe that provides breathable and flexible support. Those are the IGNITE foam, Adaptive Fit System, the Molded Comfort Collar, and the Atlantis leather on the “outer bootie.” The IGNITE foam is what provides perfect padding to the soles of your feet. There are four elements that make the Puma IGNITE PROADAPT one of the most comfortable shoes they’ve ever made. A limited edition colorway was released for the Arnold Palmer Invitational paying homage to the King, but I’ll be interested to see if Puma releases any other wild colorways at retail in the future. The other two colorways are a slick white/gray and all black. Out of the three colorways available, the gray (pictured here) has the most “Fowler Orange” which, as you can see, is minimal. There are a few minor changes due to updated materials and available acolorways, but it’s otherwise similar for fans of that classic look. In regards to profile, the IGNITE PROADAPT is pretty similar to the previous TitanTour Ignite. (That’s an unofficial signature branding of course.) It’s a more traditional leather golf shoe with a modern feel. The Puma IGNITE PROADAPT is the “Rickie Fowler” shoe of the lineup.
Strong performance and amazing comfort on the course are a guarantee with this shoe. The new Puma IGNITE PROADAPT once again brings back the IGNITE foam and is arguably the best golf shoe Puma has ever made. That’s for good reason though – it’s extremely comfortable. Puma first introduced IGNITE foam to its golf shoes a few years ago and hasn’t looked back.
